Prime Video has won a record nine Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, making it the most awarded streamer at the 2024 Awards held on the Gold Coast last week. Two of Prime Video’s biggest Australian Originals, Deadloch and The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart were recognised with wins.
Comedic murder mystery, Deadloch, secured five awards in total including Best Acting in a Comedy for Kate Box and Best Screenplay in Television for creators Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan. The 8-part Tasmanian noir series has fast become a zeitgeisty title with a growing legion of fans around the world and features an ensemble cast alongside Box including Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, Tom Ballard, Alicia Gardiner and more.
World-class drama The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, picked up four awards including the coveted Award for Best Miniseries. With a phenomenal cast led by Sigourney Weaver with Leah Purcell, Asher Keddie, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frankie Adams, Alyla Browne and more, the series is Prime Video Australia’s most successful original to date.
Both The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart and Deadloch have garnered significant local and international success, resonating strongly among global audiences. The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart reached the Top 5 in 78 countries on its opening weekend in August, while Deadloch reached the Top Ten (TV Shows) in more that 165 countries since launching in June. Both shows are Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Tasmanian town of Deadloch, a once sleepy seaside hamlet, is left reeling when a local man turns up dead on the beach.
