Alexa can now rev up your car’s entertainment system* with the voice-controlled Echo Auto. Amazon’s air vent-mounted device brings all the benefits of Alexa, including music, news, and games, to your next road trip.
The hands-free Echo Auto makes it easy to get into a good book with Audible, hear the biggest beats from streaming services like Amazon Music, catch up on the latest headlines from ABC News, or lose yourself in the latest podcast on the Pocket Cast Skill. And if it’s in-car games you’re after, Alexa’s got you covered with Skills like the Harry Potter quiz, Aussie Trivia, and Pirate Island.
The Echo Auto will not just help you navigate the road by connecting to supported apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze on your phone, it’ll also help keep your day-to-day life on track too. You can update to-do lists, set reminders, and check calendars, all via voice. Plus you can keep in touch with your nearest and dearest at home with a compatible Echo device, thanks to Announcements, Drop-In, and Calling.
To give your car the full throttle Echo Auto experience, all you have to do is plug your device into your car’s USB port or cigarette lighter, mount to an air vent (included in box), and connect your device to the Alexa app on your phone. Once hooked up, the Echo Auto plays through your car’s speakers via auxiliary input or your smartphone’s Bluetooth connection.
With far-field technology and eight microphones, the Echo Auto can hear you over the aircon, road noise... or the screaming kids. And because Echo Auto is designed for your privacy, you can mute the microphone.
