Christmas came early for some delighted Amazon Flex delivery partners when chart-topping star Guy Sebastian surprised them with an incredible live performance while they were collecting packages at an Amazon Logistics site and out delivering to customers.

Driving for Amazon Flex turned out to be a lucrative side hustle for Chris and Joan Tan, who credit the program for helping them save enough for a house deposit.

Guy, who has teamed up with Amazon Flex to shine a light on the everyday delivery partners who help make holiday deliveries possible, says he was thrilled to have the chance to say thank you with an intimate caroling performance just for them.

“With my busy work schedule, which regularly takes me overseas, I often rely on last-minute orders during the festive season to ensure I’m in everyone’s good books,” admits the self-confessed last-minute shopper.

“So, it was a great feeling to get to surprise and say thank you to some of the Amazon Flex delivery partners who help make these last-minute deliveries possible, especially during this busy time of year.”

Guy and members of the Mount Druitt Choir performed a joyful rendition of the classic festive carol, Deck the Halls, to unsuspecting Amazon Flex delivery partners at an Amazon Logistics site in Sydney.

Amazon Flex delivery partner, Brendan McEntee, got an extra big surprise when he knocked on a customer’s door and was greeted by Guy and the Mount Druitt Choir caroling. His day was made, when Guy asked if he could join him in finishing his last few customer deliveries for the day.

“I deliver a few times a week with Amazon Flex to pay for life’s little extras with the additional earnings. Safe to say it was a big shock to be surprised by Guy Sebastian while out on a delivery block,” he says.

“When the door opened, I was expecting to hand the package to the customer, but instead found Guy and the choir giving me a rendition of Deck the Halls! I was delighted when he asked to join me for some customer deliveries.”

Brendan says he loves delivering to customers at this time of the year because everyone is so happy to see their Amazon Flex delivery partner. “This extra thanks from Amazon Flex and Guy was an added bonus,” he says.

Guy says he also loved spending time on the road with Brendan.

“It was a lot of fun being able to join Brendan on a delivery block. It really showed me first-hand how he goes above and beyond for customers, and how appreciative they are,” Guy says.
