A heart-warming video captured the children’s excitement and amazement during their visit to the fulfilment centre to see how their parents “help Santa” at his busiest time of the year.
“Santa comes here to pick up all the Amazon gifts,” explains one, beaming with happiness.
Amazon Operations Manager Bryce Madill says he was filled with pride when he showed his two children, six-year-old Daxon and two-year-old Banks around the Amazon Fulfilment Centre where he works.
“The site is one of the largest things they’ve seen,” he says.
“The magnitude of that is seen on their little faces. It’s pretty cool! Seeing the wonder on their faces of what we do, brings so much gratitude.
“Dax is proud that I deliver smiles to people. Banks is proud we have snacks and lollies!”
Bryce, who has worked for Amazon for the past four years, says his kids were amazed to see how he helps Santa to deliver all those presents on Christmas Day.
“It creates purpose and a sense of pride to have my children see first-hand what I do best. The accomplishment I feel and inclusion that we all feel is something special,” he says.
The lucky children who got to see how gifts were picked, packed and shipped were also filled with pride at seeing their parents at work, and super impressed that they were helping Santa!
The special tour of the fulfilment centre was organised to celebrate and spotlight the amazing work that our Amazon employees do every day.
